DAY 1: ARRIVAL & INTRODUCTION TO MAASAI CULTURE

Depart from Nairobi in the morning and journey through the Great Rift Valley, arriving in Narok town by mid-morning. You will be welcomed by your local Maasai guide and transferred to a community-based eco-camp or cultural village in the outskirts of Narok or near the Loita Hills. Upon arrival, receive a traditional welcome ceremony, including a blessing by elders and song/dance by Maasai women. After check-in and lunch, take a guided cultural orientation walk through the village, learning about the Maasai homestead (enkang), social structure, and the role of elders, warriors (morans), and women. In the evening, enjoy storytelling by the fireside as elders share myths, history, and their connection to land and nature.
