DAY 1: ARRIVAL & DIANI BEACH LEISURE
Arrival via SGR (Mombasa Terminus) or Ukunda Airstrip. Twende Tours representative will meet and transfer you to your hotel in Diani. After check-in, spend the day at leisure unwinding on the stunning white sand beaches. Enjoy the calm ambiance, warm coastal breeze, and hotel amenities. Optional beach walk or local market visit in the evening. Dinner and overnight at your beach resort.
DAY 2: WASINI ISLAND & KISITE MARINE ADVENTURE
After an early breakfast, depart for Shimoni, where you’ll board a traditional dhow to Wasini Island. Enjoy dolphin spotting on the way and snorkel in the rich coral reefs of Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park. A Swahili seafood lunch awaits you at Wasini Village. Visit the coral gardens and learn about the island’s history and culture. Return to Diani in the evening. Dinner and overnight at your beach resort.
DAY 3: SHIMBA HILLS NATIONAL RESERVE & SHELDRICK FALLS
Head inland to Shimba Hills National Reserve. Enjoy a guided game drive with chances to see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and the rare Sable antelope. A nature walk to Sheldrick Falls adds to the thrill. Have a picnic lunch in the forest before heading back. Optional stop at Kwale Town for a brief cultural visit. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: KAYA KINONDO FOREST & COASTAL CULTURE EXPERIENCE
Visit Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest, a UNESCO Heritage Site sacred to the Digo people. Learn about Mijikenda traditions, spiritual beliefs, and medicinal plants on a guided forest walk. DAY 5: FUNZI ISLAND & DEPARTURE
Optional early morning trip to Funzi Island, known for its peaceful sandbanks and canoe rides along the Ramisi River through mangrove forests. Enjoy a picnic breakfast on a sandbank and visit a quiet fishing village. Return to the hotel for check-out.
