DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LAMU & OLD TOWN IMMERSION
Upon arrival at Manda Airstrip, a traditional dhow will transfer you to your hotel or guesthouse in Lamu Old Town. After check-in and refreshments, begin your cultural immersion with a guided walking tour through Lamu Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Explore its narrow alleyways, coral stone houses with intricately carved wooden doors, and centuries-old mosques.
Later, visit the Lamu Museum, Swahili House Museum, and German Post Office Museum, offering insights into Swahili history and maritime culture. End the day with a sunset dhow cruise along the archipelago, enjoying fresh coconut and Swahili snacks. Dinner will be a traditional Swahili meal served at a local home or boutique hotel.

In the afternoon, join a traditional dhow-building workshop or Swahili craft session to learn about local carpentry, henna painting, or weaving mats from palm leaves. Later, stroll through Shela Village—known for its elegant homes and relaxed vibe—and hike the nearby sand dunes for a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean.
Dinner will be under the stars, with Swahili music or taarab playing in the background, featuring grilled seafood or coconut-based delicacies.
DAY 3: FINAL BEACH MOMENTS & DEPARTURE
Enjoy a relaxed morning at the pristine Shela Beach or take a short boat ride to Takwa Ruins, an abandoned Swahili settlement rich in history. Depending on your departure time, you may opt for a camel ride on the beach or a final walk along the serene waterfront.
