DAY 1: NAIROBI TO NAIVASHA – SCENIC DRIVE & LAKESIDE WELCOME
Your journey with Twende Tours begins in the morning as we depart Nairobi and head down the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Along the way, we make a brief stop at a scenic viewpoint for breathtaking panoramas before continuing to the serene town of Naivasha. Upon arrival, check in at your selected lodge or resort near Lake Naivasha.
After lunch, enjoy a leisurely afternoon nature walk along the lake’s edge, a peaceful way to settle into the lakeside atmosphere. Look out for hippos wallowing in the shallows and a wide variety of bird species. Wrap up your day with dinner at the lodge and enjoy the calm, fresh air of Naivasha.
DAY 2: BOAT SAFARI & CRESCENT ISLAND WALKING TOUR
After breakfast, set off for a morning boat safari on Lake Naivasha. Drift peacefully across the lake as your guide helps you spot hippos, fish eagles, and kingfishers. Continue with a visit to Crescent Island, one of Kenya’s best-kept secrets, for a walking safari among giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles. With no predators around, this is one of the few places you can walk freely among wild animals.Return to your lodge for lunch and enjoy a quiet afternoon relaxing by the pool or exploring the grounds. You may also choose to book an optional spa treatment. Dinner will be served in the evening, followed by an optional bonfire session near the lake.
DAY 3: HELL’S GATE ADVENTURE & GEOTHERMAL SPA RELAXATION
Today is for the adventurous. After breakfast, we head to Hell’s Gate National Park, where you can choose to cycle or hike through dramatic gorges and open plains, guided by one of our experienced Twende Tours local experts. Expect sightings of zebras, warthogs, gazelles, and striking rock formations .After your active morning, you’ll head to the Olkaria Geothermal Spa to relax and soak in the aturally heated turquoise pools. It’s the perfect way to ease your muscles and unwind. Return to the lodge for a relaxing evening and a delicious dinner.
DAY 4: CULTURAL ENCOUNTER & RETURN TO NAIROBI
On your final day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast before checking out. We then visit a nearby local community or artisan village where you’ll learn about the traditions, crafts, and livelihoods of the Naivasha area. Engage with locals and discover the rich cultural side of the region.We then enjoy a farewell lunch en route and begin our journey back to Nairobi, where you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location—refreshed, inspired, and full of stories from your lakeside escape.
