Morning: Visit to the Giraffe Centre
Your Twende Tours guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi after breakfast. We’ll begin the day with a visit to the Giraffe Centre in Lang’ata, home to the endangered Rothschild giraffes. Here, you’ll enjoy the rare opportunity to hand-feed the giraffes, learn about their conservation efforts, and take memorable photos from the elevated viewing platform.
Midday: Lunch at The Talisman or Karen Blixen Coffee Garden (Optional)
After the Giraffe Centre, we’ll stop for lunch at one of Nairobi’s highly rated restaurants in the Karen area—such as The Talisman or Karen Blixen Coffee Garden—for a relaxing outdoor meal.
Afternoon: Karen Blixen Museum Tour
After lunch, we proceed to the Karen Blixen Museum, once home to the famous Danish author of Out of Africa. You’ll take a guided tour of the house, view personal items, and explore the lush grounds while learning about Karen’s life in colonial Kenya. The museum is full of rich history and great photo opportunities.
Late Afternoon: Drop-Off
After the museum, enjoy a scenic drive back to your hotel or desired drop-off point. If time allows, you can add a visit to Kazuri Beads Workshop for handmade souvenirs or Bomas of Kenya for a cultural performance (optional at extra cost).
