Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or residence by your Twende Tours driver-guide. You’ll drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, with a brief stop at the viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views and photography. As you continue toward Nakuru, your guide will share insights about the region’s history, geology, and wildlife.
Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park, you’ll begin your game drive through acacia woodlands and the shores of the alkaline lake, home to flamingos, pelicans, and over 400 bird species. The park is also a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, as well as lions, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, and the rare Rothschild’s giraffe.
A picnic lunch is served at a scenic spot inside the park, typically at Baboon Cliff or Makalia Falls, where you can relax and enjoy views of the lake and wildlife.
