DAY 1: TRAVEL TO TSAVO EAST – JOURNEY INTO THE WILD
Your safari begins with a scenic drive from your accommodation in either Nairobi or Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and oldest wildlife sanctuaries. The journey takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, offering glimpses of rural Kenya along the way. On arrival, you’ll check into your selected safari lodge or tented camp and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax and soak in the atmosphere of the African wilderness. Watch the sunset paint the sky over the savannah before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay at camp.
DAY 2: FULL-DAY GAME VIEWING IN TSAVO EAST
Rise early for a morning game drive—this is prime time to witness predators and grazers as they start their day. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and the elusive leopard. After your first adventure, return to camp for a hearty breakfast. You’ll then check out and embark on a second game drive as you exit the park, with chances to visit Aruba Dam and Mudanda Rock, key watering holes where large herds gather. Enjoy a relaxed lunch at a local restaurant or lodge en route to Mombasa. The day ends with drop-off at your coastal accommodation or return trip to your Nairobi hotel if preferred.
DAY 3: SUNRISE SAFARI & RETURN TO NAIROBI
Enjoy one last early morning game drive before breakfast—your final opportunity to track wildlife in the golden morning light. After breakfast, check out and proceed to the SGR train station for a comfortable return ride to Nairobi, or alternatively, continue to Mombasa if starting your journey from Nairobi.
